A signed antique European oil on board, after German artist Eduard von Grützner (1846–1925), likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.
The scene depicts a jovial gentleman raising a beer stein at the table, with wonderful detail throughout. The ornate gilt frame is very substantial and chunky, giving the piece great presence in person.
