An antique Belle Époque bust of an elegant young woman, modeled with an elaborate arrangement of curls, romantic puffed sleeves, a sculpted rose, and cascading bows.
Dating to approximately 1900, the bust reflects the period’s fascination with fashionable feminine beauty and floral detail. Its romantic styling recalls the work of Auguste Moreau and his contemporaries.
Cast in dark patinated spelter and mounted on a softly translucent onyx base. Beautifully scaled for a mantel, pedestal, bookshelf, or display cabinet.
