An original multi-plate color etching by Austrian artist Josef Eidenberger (1899–1991), depicting Schloss Bodelschwingh reflected in its surrounding water.
Located in Dortmund, Germany, this Renaissance moated castle has a recorded history reaching back to 1302 and remains a private family residence today. Eidenberger studied at the Graphic Academy of Art in Vienna and became known for a technically demanding color-etching process that gave his architectural scenes their remarkable detail and soft, painterly atmosphere.
Titled Schloss Bodelschwingh in pencil at the lower left and signed by the artist at the lower right. Displayed beneath glass with a wide mat and silver-toned frame.

Condition: Vintage condition with age-related toning, foxing, and spotting to the paper and mat. The frame shows rubbing and general wear. The backing board has tears and deterioration. Not examined outside the frame. Please review all photographs carefully.
